All bookings for dog hotel, cat hotel, training, grooming, pet taxi and related services are requests only until confirmed in writing (including email or WhatsApp) by Vico Kennel. Availability, pricing and suitability are assessed before acceptance. A booking reference issued through our website or correspondence does not guarantee acceptance if information provided is incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent with our policies.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact details, pet information and dates. We may refuse or postpone services where we reasonably believe the welfare of any animal, staff or other guests would be at risk.
Boarding (dog / cat hotel): Cancellations or date changes should be communicated as early as possible. For peak periods (public holidays, school holidays and other high-demand dates), we may apply a non-refundable deposit or cancellation fee as agreed at confirmation. Where no specific fee was agreed, we reserve the right to charge up to the value of the first night for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in, and up to 50% of the booked stay for no-shows without prior notice.
Training, grooming and taxi: Appointments may be rescheduled subject to availability. Late cancellations (typically within 24 hours) or repeated no-shows may incur a fee or require prepayment for future bookings.
Refunds, where applicable, are processed in line with the law of the Republic of Cyprus and any specific terms agreed at booking. Statutory rights are not excluded where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
Owners warrant that their pet is in good health at drop-off and free from contagious disease, parasites (including fleas and ticks) and severe behavioural issues that we have not been informed of in advance. For boarding and daycare contexts, up-to-date vaccination records (including rabies where applicable, distemper/parvovirus for dogs, and core vaccines for cats as advised by your veterinarian) must be presented on request. We may refuse admission if vaccination or health documentation is missing or expired.
Medication must be clearly labelled with dosage, frequency and veterinary instructions. We administer medication only where agreed in advance and where we are satisfied it can be done safely. Emergency veterinary care may be sought at the owner's expense where we reasonably believe it is in the animal's best interests; we will attempt to contact you without undue delay.
You must disclose aggression, fear-based behaviour, resource guarding, escape tendencies or bite history before booking. We may terminate or refuse services if behaviour poses a risk to people or other animals, even if not previously observed. Boarding guests must be able to tolerate appropriate handling, kennelling and group or solo exercise as determined by our staff.
Published prices are indicative and may change. The price applicable to your booking is the price confirmed at acceptance. Additional services (grooming add-ons, taxi, medication administration, special diets supplied by the owner, extended hours, etc.) are charged separately where agreed. Payment terms (deposit, balance on collection, invoicing) are communicated at confirmation.
Nothing in these booking conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law of the Republic of Cyprus and the European Union.
Subject to the foregoing, our total liability arising out of or in connection with a booking (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where a higher limit is mandatory under law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity or emotional distress, except where such exclusion is not permitted.
You remain responsible for your pet's individual health conditions and for property you leave with us. We are not liable for illness or injury where reasonably attributable to pre-existing conditions, undisclosed behaviour, or events outside our reasonable control (including force majeure, transport delays, or veterinary outcomes).
If an animal is not collected within a reasonable period after the agreed checkout date and we cannot reach you using the contact details provided, we may involve the authorities or rehome the animal in accordance with Cyprus law and professional advice. Outstanding fees and reasonable costs may be recovered.
These booking conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Cyprus shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory rights you may have as a consumer under EU law.
